Mr. Grenell is an associate in our Civil Litigation practice area. Mr. Grenell’s practice includes matters in Civil, Chancery, Family, and Appellate courts in both New Jersey and New York, enabling him to handle a wide variety of client needs and issues. During his time with the firm, Mr. Grenell has gained experience in numerous areas of law including: breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, commercial collections, employment discrimination, enforcement of restrictive covenants, review and negotiation of executive level severance agreements, guardianships for incapacitated and special needs adults, commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, matrimonial matters, criminal record expungements, municipal court appeals, and trial court appeals.
During his time in law school, Mr. Grenell worked for the firm as a law clerk in our Collections Department. Upon graduating law school, Mr. Grenell was awarded the G.A. Moore Jr. Prize, which is awarded by Rutgers Law School to a graduating student who excelled in the field of equal employment opportunity law during their legal education. Mr. Grenell was also inducted into the Order of the Coif, a legal academic honor society reserved for those students graduating in the top 10% of their law school class.
Before joining the firm as an associate in our Civil Litigation practice, Mr. Grenell spent the 2015-2016 judicial term as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Thomas R. Vena, J.S.C., a judge in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage. During his tenure as a judicial law clerk, Mr. Grenell assisted the court with researching, analyzing, and recommending the appropriate outcomes in a variety of state civil matters from routine discovery motion practice to complex motions for summary judgment, trial motions, and orders to show cause. Additionally, as part of his responsibilities as a judicial law clerk, Mr. Grenell served as a mediator in the Essex County Special Civil Part and successfully mediated several cases before they proceeded to trial.
In addition to being an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Mr. Grenell is dedicated to giving back to the community as an active volunteer with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice in Newark, New Jersey.
