Ben Z. Raindorf is an attorney in the Firm’s Secured Creditors’ Rights Litigation Practice Group, where he focuses on Consumer Finance Litigation.
Ben’s litigation practice includes representation of clients in federal, state court and appellate matters. He has defended adverse claims against banks and mortgage loan servicers, including claims related to TILA, RESPA, Regulation X, the FDCPA, FCRA and other servicing related claims. Recently, Ben successfully defended a New Jersey appellate matter in HSBC Bank v. Mann, in which the New Jersey Appellate Division, for one of the first times, held that mortgage borrowers lack standing to invoke a Pooling and Servicing Agreement.
Before joining the firm, Ben practiced at Sheldon May & Associates, P.C., as a real estate litigation attorney.
Ben attended Hofstra University School of Law on an Honors Scholarship and graduated with the Judge Hubert Will Award for Social Justice. Prior to that, he received a Bachelors degree in Political Science from Binghamton University.
Ben is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law and is admitted to practice in the State of New York, State of New Jersey, District of New Jersey, and Southern District of New York.
