Mr. Fein concentrates in the areas of asset protection planning, business planning, estate planning, estate and gift taxation, elder law and general corporate law. For almost 40 years he has been acting as corporate counsel to businesses across industry sectors, advising clients on issues ranging from start-up, to attracting financing, through mergers and acquisitions, and to exiting the business.
Mr. Fein began his career as an attorney in the Estate and Gift Tax Division of the Internal Revenue Service. From this knowledge base he has developed a sophisticated trusts and estates practice, offering estate planning solutions to clients with a wide range of planning needs. He represents clients in all phases of estate administration from preparation of tax returns to will contests.
Mr. Fein has years of experience in the relatively new area of elder law. He was an early member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and works closely with clients developing strategies to cope with the financial realities of aging and failing health.
Mr. Fein is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, Morris County Bar Association and Essex County Bar Association. He writes articles and lectures on topics related to business planning, estate planning and elder law.
