Ms. McQuade is an associate in the Litigation Department specializing in creditors’ rights, commercial litigation and real property litigation.
Upon graduating from law school in 1988, she became a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of New York, Parole Revocation Defense Unit. She represented indigent defendants in various matters in Supreme Court in the New York City area including Article 78 proceedings and writs of habeas corpus.
In 1992, she transferred to the Criminal Defense Division in Kings County, New York. As a trial attorney, Ms. McQuade represented defendants from arraignment to trial. During her ten year tenure, she gained extensive trial experience and obtained numerous acquittals at trial.
After the birth of her first son in June of 2000, Ms. McQuade left the practice of law to dedicate herself full-time to raising her children. During this time, Ms. McQuade passed the New Jersey State Bar.
In January of 2011, Ms. McQuade returned to the practice of law joining the law firm of Fein, Such, Kahn & Shepard, P.C. Ms. McQuade appears in State and Federal Court in New York and in New Jersey. Her practice primarily focuses on complex litigation of commercial matters including foreclosures and other real property litigation. She has an in-depth knowledge of the relevant law in these areas including the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedure Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
