Mr. Frieland is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Rutgers University School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Harry served a judicial clerkship with the Superior Court of New Jersey. Early in his career, he began his private practice with Lesnik, Amoscato, Shapiro, Bernstein, Shocket & Karp and later formed the firm of Levitan & Frieland, P.C. before joining Fein, Such, Kahn & Shepard, P.C.

Mr. Frieland is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Rutgers University School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Harry served a judicial clerkship with the Superior Court of New Jersey. Early in his career, he began his private practice with Lesnik, Amoscato, Shapiro, Bernstein, Shocket & Karp and later formed the firm of Levitan & Frieland, P.C. before joining Fein, Such, Kahn & Shepard, P.C.

He is active in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. His practice comprises all aspects of real estate law with a particular focus on the areas of residential and commercial real estate development, real estate leasing, real estate acquisitions, and sales and secured lending. He represents both landlord and tenant parties in preparing and negotiating office, industrial, and retail leases for properties in New Jersey and New York. He acts on behalf of individuals and private developers in the acquisition, development, and sale of commercial and residential properties.

Mr. Frieland also counsels clients in zoning matters, land use, and environmental issues. Mr. Frieland interacts with clients in general corporate and business matters, including structuring the business entity, negotiation, and preparation of joint venture and partnership agreements, consulting agreements, non-compete agreements, operating agreements, licensing agreements, distribution agreements, supply agreements, employment agreements, and other commercial agreements.

Harry is also involved in the Creditors’ Rights Group as a commercial litigator who regularly represents clients in various commercial and real estate disputes. He has appeared for clients in the New Jersey and New York courts in matters involving breach of contract actions, business torts, bank related litigation, and real estate litigation. Mr. Frieland is currently a trustee and treasurer of the New Jersey Creditors’ Bar Association.

Mr. Frieland has been a frequent lecturer and panelist before public and private groups in the fields of business and real estate. His lecture topics have included the creation of business and investment structures, how to invest in commercial and residential real estate, investments in tax sales and foreclosed property, and ways to protect real estate assets through Land Trusts. Mr. Frieland has served as a member of the Essex County Fee Arbitration Committee and on the District X Ethics Committee and was appointed as a Superior Court mediator.
