Jack has a business entrepreneur background with twenty years experience developing and running a successful delicatessen, restaurant, and catering business. He brings that value proposition to bear understanding intimately the needs of small business.
His practice now focuses on intellectual property matters, including trademarks and patents, but also ranges to all forms of general business needs, including contracts, licensing, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, and employment law matters. He is also an adjunct professor at The New School – Parsons School of Design in New York City teaching a senior business law class that focuses on intellectual property and general business needs.
Jack is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law – Newark earning the Philip Kravitz Memorial Prize for the No. 1 ranking among the part-time program and also earned the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property. Jack is now on the ABA Trademark Litigation Committee and has chaired some sub-committee scholarly endeavors, reviewing recent case law trends and is a member of the NY and NJ State Bar Associations.
Jack is an avid SCUBA diver with advanced training and has logged over 1,000 hours underwater. He especially enjoys large animal encounters such as sharks. His interests also include motorcycles, golf, tennis, basketball, and collecting vintage guitars.
